Sunshine and an ocean breeze made for perfect weather at our Brock Floral Cart launch event this past Saturday!
Huge thank you to Cathy, owner of The Mason Jar in White Rock, for allowing us a curb side takeover outside of her shop. With her beautiful collection of home and personal goods from Canadian vendors (many local!), her storefront was an ideal spot for our debut.
The morning began with a safe delivery of the cart - thanks to my wonderful husband and father-in-law. Keeping with the family theme, my amazing sister Chloe took on the role of flower helper for the day - bundling bouquets and chatting with customers. Over-sized balloons and brushed tin buckets filled with florals set the scene to welcome Saturday walkers and shoppers.
Customers of all ages stopped by to create their own arrangements or to pick one of our grab-and-go mason jar bouquets. I loved seeing the individuality of each person as they picked the florals that represented them or a loved one best. My personal cart faves were eucalyptus, pink garden roses, and eremus.
Our “unofficial official” mascot also stopped by - Napoleon the Frenchie. He has a nose for florals and was happy to browse the selection in between head scratches ;)
Friday Eve Photo owner Camilla snapped photos throughout the event, capturing the day’s sweetest moments.
After the event, I couldn’t resist browsing the boutique, picking up some candles and a playful tie dye top. The afternoon ended with a croissant, courtesy of Chez Christophe!
This event was just the first of many to come. I can’t wait to introduce the cart to communities and local businesses throughout the lower mainland.
